Hello My future wife and I are planning on drafting an ANC.

Before going forward, we have one question about the way the accrual system works in regards to inheritance.

If we understand correctly inheritances will always be excluded from the accrual. But what about future growth?

For exemple, if I inherit R1 million in the form of a share portfolio in 2018. Ten years later this portfolio is worth R3 millions and we get divorce.

Is it 1 million (+ inflation) that gets deducted from the estate or the full R3 millions? I look forward to hearing back from you, Best, Vincent
